Theodore Charles has a background in photojournalism, archaeology, and anthropology. He received his undergraduate degree at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington and his Masters at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. Theodore spent two years living in Turkey with a Fulbright Grant, while also writing and photographing for Culinary Backstreets. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Anthropology at SOAS, University of London focusing on photoethnographically documenting Bulgarian heritage food traditions. His work has been featured in newspapers, billboard campaigns, and won numerous awards.
